Using oil and acrylic paint on canvas, my work encourages the viewer to explore their own identity within the context of the form, color and emotion of each piece. Being a mixture of abstract and representational allows each individual the space with which to draw from their own beliefs, values and experiences to reflect on how their life fits within the world around them. The process of constructing, deconstructing and layering creates a physical depth while also developing a representational depth of time and space. I attempt to create works that are bold and thought-provoking.
